Words of Wisdom:

‘Go Home and

Love Your Family’

The Sandy Hook tragedy has affected parents, educators and students nationwide. In schools and homes around the country, we’re asking, “what to do?”

At Connect with Kids, it’s Mother Teresa’s wisdom that comes to mind. When presented with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she was asked, “What can we do to promote world peace?” Her answer was simple: “Go home and love your family.”

Experts tell us that the best defense for creating a next generation of resilient, confident and healthy adults is to help kids create strong family and community connections.

Particularly during this holiday season — with the promise of the year ahead — there’s no better time to “go home and love your family.”

We also know that truly connecting with kids is sometimes easier said than done. We offer you two Connect with Kids videos, and suggested additional, credible resources, that can help get conversations started and support what you’re already doing at home and at school.

Connect with Kids wishes you and your families a wonderful holiday. We look forward to supporting you in a coming year that’s filled with positive connections.
